Domestic violence and gun violence are deeply intertwined but are often siloed in public safety strategies. Comprehensive anti-violence plans can help to connect the silos by aligning policies and investments across these different forms of gun violence. With the influx of federal funding, state and local governments have the opportunity to invest in coordinated, community-driven prevention of and responses to domestic violence and gun violence.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Join us for a special MAIG University on Connecting Silos: The Intersection of Domestic Violence and Gun Violence. Hear from frontline staff and leading researchers to learn about the intersections of gun violence and domestic violence and how you can address this lethal intersection through targeted investments, coordinated services, and community partnerships.
