South Asian Parents/Caregivers Heal and Learn

SAPHAL (South Asian Parents/Caregivers: Heal And Learn; transl: ‘success’) is a violence prevention program for parents & caregivers that focuses on building healthy relationships with our youth, our families & communities. SAPHAL was created by South Asians, for South Asians.

Please follow the calendar on this page to see upcoming events and workshops (under development). Each module is introduced as a parenting skill that can be learned and taught through evidence-based practices, in a manner that bears South Asian parenting and caregiving contexts in mind. Backed by evidence-based practices and developed with a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has extensive experience working with the South Asian community, the program centers the idea of accountability with compassion.
